Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil reports the indictment of Marcus Bankston, age 35, of Sycamore Township after a 5 month investigation by Agents of the Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit (RENU). The Hamilton County Grand Jury has indicted Mr. Bankston on Trafficking in Heroin, Conspiracy to Traffic in Drugs, Weapons under Disability, Receiving Stolen Property and 3 counts of Possession of a Hidden Compartment in a Motor Vehicle.
RENU Agents initiated their investigation after the arrest of Jerome Sweeten on February 4, 2015. RENU Highway Interdiction Officers arrested Mr. Sweeten in possession of 3 pounds of heroin and a 9mm handgun after a vehicle pursuit ended in an auto accident and foot pursuit in Elmwood. [Read more…]
Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil reports the arrest of Kenneth Gentry age 32, of 5160 Montgomery Road. Kenneth Gentry was arrested today by Agents of the Regional Narcotics Unit after a Hamilton County Grand Jury indicted him on Involuntary Manslaughter and Corrupting Another With Drugs in the death of Scott Kehrer age 38 of Arlington Heights, Ohio.
Scott Kehrer was found unconscious at a residence in Lockland on January 30, 2015. EMS transported him to Jewish Hospital and on February 1, 2015 Scott Kehrer died as a result of an overdose of Fentanyl according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. [Read more…]
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced today the formation of a new Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission (OOCIC) task force focused on the investigation and interception of large scale illegal drug and cash transactions in Warren, Butler, Hamilton, and Clermont counties.
The Southwest Ohio Bulk Currency Smuggling Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Warren County Drug Task Force, Clermont County Narcotics Unit, Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit, Ohio State Highway Patrol, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, and Butler County Prosecutor’s Office.
