Cleveland man accused of felony heroin trafficking at Wickliffe hotel

A joint operation by the Wickliffe Police Department and the Lake County Narcotics Agency led to a drug arrest in Wickliffe on Tuesday.

Wickliffe detectives and LCNA agents arrested Albert D. Walker, 20, of 16024 Lake Shore Blvd. in Cleveland, at the Mosley Select Suites on Euclid Avenue, said Lake County Narcotics Agency Director David A. Frisone.

Walker is accused of trying to sell 1 gram of heroin at the hotel. A juvenile was also in the vicinity of the crime, according to Willoughby Municipal Court records.

Officers seized a car and cash from Walker. He was charged with felony heroin trafficking, tampering with evidence and possession of criminal tools, Frisone said.

He added that the arrest was the result of “an ongoing investigation by law enforcement into illegal drug activity at the hotel.”

At an arraignment hearing on Wednesday, Magistrate Judge Almis Stempuzis set Walker’s bond at $100,000 cash or surety, which was not posted. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 27.
