Cleveland man accused of heroin trafficking with 15-year-old in car

A Cleveland man was arrested in Wickliffe on March 31 after allegedly selling heroin with a 15-year-old in the car.

At about 2:25 p.m., Wickliffe police detectives allegedly observed a drug transaction in a restaurant parking lot on Euclid Avenue. They followed the suspect onto Interstate 90 westbound and a marked police car initiated a traffic stop, according to the Wickliffe Police Department’s Facebook page.

After an investigation, police arrested 22-year-old Victor D. McClain of 11200 E. 185th Street.  The 15-year-old and a 19-year-old also in the car were not charged, police said. They were both from Euclid.

McClain was charged with third-degree felony trafficking in heroin in the vicinity of a juvenile and two counts of fifth-degree felony possession of criminal tools. He was arraigned April 1 in Willoughby Municipal Court. Judge Harry Field set bond at $20,000 cash or surety. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 3.
