Cleveland woman arrested in Mentor for allegedly selling heroin

A Cleveland woman was arrested in Mentor on Thursday after allegedly selling heroin in Lake and Ashtabula counties.

Following a joint investigation by the Lake County Narcotics Agency, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Mentor Police Department, Trumbull-Ashtabula County Drug Task Force and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Lillian Gay was arrested at the Walmart, 9303 Mentor Ave., according to a release from Lake County Narcotics Agency director David A. Frisone.

Officers seized about 10 grams of heroin, more than $800 in cash and a car from Gay. She was charged with a second-degree felony of trafficking in heroin. Additional charges are also pending, Frisone said.

Gay is set to be arraigned in Mentor Municipal Court.
