Crystal meth, heroin seized, 2 arrested in drug raid

Crystal meth, heroin and marijuana were seized in a drug task force raid on a South Landsdown Avenue address that also landed two people in jail.

Jodie Lee Johnston, 43, and Crystal Johnston, 32, remain in the Montgomery County Jail detained on single counts of drug possession, according to the sheriff’s office.

Detectives with the county RANGE Task Force served a search warrant as part of a “long-term drug trafficking investigation and seized two handguns, counterfeit cash as well as “a large quantity of crystal meth, heroin, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation resulted from numerous complaints from neighbors.

The county prosecutor’s office is reviewing whether more charges will be filed against the Johnstons, according to the sheriff’s office.
