Dangerous drug discovery leads to arrests in Wellsville

Two men are in jail in Columbiana County after the drug fentanyl was discovered inside a Wellsville home.

Columbiana County Drug Task Force officials say they were executing a search warrant Tuesday at 16325 State Route 45 in Wellsville, when they arrested Mack Griffin of Cleveland, Ohio for an outstanding warrant on possession of drug charges.

Also arrested was DeCarlos Jackson for a misdemeanor charge of falsification.

During the arrests, drug task force members discovered over 40 grams of fentanyl and digital scales.

40 grams of fentanyl is enough for 20,000 lethal doses of the drug, according to the DEA or drug enforcement agency.

Mack Griffin was then also charged with trafficking in drugs.
