Drug charges pending after search in Fostoria

Suspected heroin and crack cocaine, along with money, criminal tools and evidence of drug trafficking, were found during execution of a search warrant Wednesday morning in Fostoria.

According to a release from Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit, METRICH and Fostoria Police Department executed the search warrant at 300 E. Tiffin St., the home of Dina Williams, 30, and Anthony Williams, 33.

The search occurred around 6 a.m., according to Fostoria police reports.

Chuck Boyer, METRICH unit coordinator, said no arrests were made Wednesday, but charges of trafficking crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of criminal tools and permitting drug abuse are pending.

Boyer said a search warrant was executed at the residence in May and a small amount of marijuana was found. He said METRICH had been investigating the residence since the first search.

"We continued to get complaints of activity at the residence," Boyer said.

He said the amount of suspected drugs found Wednesday is small, but enough to warrant felony charges.

According to the release, Fostoria Police Department's Special Response Team and its K9 unit aided in execution of the warrant.

"This is the second search warrant we have done on the East Tiffin Street residence in the past year with the same tenants with their children being present. It's my understanding that the drug task force is going to pursue addressing the issues stemming from the residence through additional avenues as well," Keith Loreno, chief of Fostoria Police Department, said in the release.
