Geauga Co. meth bust

The Geauga County Sheriff's Office along with the Lake County Narcotics Unit and the DEA served a search warrant at 17483 Kinsman Rd. in connection with a meth bust.

Authorities say they discovered meth related material and the 47-year-old male resident has been taken into custody.

A spokesman with the Geauga Co. Sheriffs says that this is a great example of the community working with authorities to solve a problem.

A few weeks ago several neighbors reported that things were suspicious at the residence and the Sheriff's Office started to look into it.

Friday morning at 11 a.m. a deputy pulled over a vehicle leaving the premises for expired plates, during that traffic stop meth was found, with that they were able to get a search warrant for the property.

The warrant was executed Friday evening around 5 p.m.

Investigators are in the process of collecting evidence and securing the residence and making sure it is safe.
