Heroin found in Crestline drug sting

Three people were arrested Tuesday after they were caught during a Crestline drug raid with several illegal items.

Officers from the Crawford County Special Response Team and the METRICH Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at 2677 State Route 598, Crestline, after a month-long heroin trafficking investigation. During the raid, officers seized 74 doses of heroin, multiple syringes, fentanyl, prescription pills, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Officers arrested: Aaron L. Frazee, 27, of Crestline, on a charge of drug trafficking; William C. Frazee, 58, of Crestline, on a charge of drug abuse; and Alexis N. Kouns, 25, of Crestline, on a charge of possession of drugs and a probation violation. They were taken into custody at the scene and are being held in the Crawford County Jail pending filing of formal charges by the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Crawford County Special Response Team comprises officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus and Galion police departments and the Bucyrus and Galion fire departments.
