Heroin Trafficking

On September 15, 2014 task force agents, assisted by officers from the Seville Police Department arrested Steven Gurnsey from Warner St. in Seville for Trafficking in Heroin, a 5th degree felony.  A nearly two month investigation lead agents to Gurnsey's home.   After selling heroin to an agent of the task force Gurnsey was arrested when he left his home.  A search warrant was executed at the home which resulted in a small amount of suspected heroin and several syringes being seized.

In the days immediately after Gurnsey's arrest three additional men were arrested in neighboring Wayne County.  Two of Gurnsey's step-brothers and friend entered the home of a person that they believed to be an informant for the Medina County Drug Task Force and assaulted him.  The three were charged with Intimidation.  Additional charges for Aggravated Burglary will be sought against the group as well.
