Madison Township man accused of cultivating marijuana in house

A Madison Township man is accused of cultivating marijuana inside a Middle Ridge Road home and near a child.  Joseph Gerger, 43, was arrested June 11 and charged with a fourth-degree felony of cultivating of marijuana in the vicinity of a juvenile, according to a news release from the Lake County Narcotics Agency.

With several search warrants, officers from the Madison Township Police Department and Lake County Narcotics Agency “seized approximately 3 pounds of raw marijuana, a large quantity of suspected marijuana edible products, marijuana growing equipment, over $1,500 in cash, a vehicle and drug paraphernalia,” according to the release.

More charges are pending as a joint investigation among the township police, narcotics agency and Ohio State Highway Patrol continues.
