Marijuana growing operation found

Personnel from Fostoria and Tiffin police departments and Seneca County Drug Task Force - METRICH Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant that recovered more than 200 marijuana plants Thursday.

According to a release, the search warrant was executed at 129 Hale Drive, the residence of Brandon L. Navarro, 30; Ryan D. Steward, 26; and Logan R. Cole, 26. It unveiled 224 marijuana plants, processed marijuana, drug paraphernalia, criminal tools, a pharmacy prescription, marijuana cultivation supplies, suspected stolen property and money, it states.

The release states an estimated street value for a mature plant at the time of cultivation would be about $1,000 per plant.

Charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana cultivation and possession of criminal tools are pending after further investigation and laboratory testing of the suspected marijuana, according to the release.
