Marijuana, meth seized in Galion

Crawford County Sheriff's deputies, with the help of the Crawford County Special Deputies Unit, METRICH and the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation, seized marijuana and meth and arrested two people during a raid Thursday.

Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents first spotted marijuana at 420 Jackson Road in Galion, according to a news release from the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. As they began seizing the 47 plants, they reported, they discovered methamphetamine being manufactured outside the residence.

Agents neutralized the chemicals, making the scene safe.

Two people were arrested at the Jackson Road address. Natasha R. Dent, 22, was charged with possession of drugs and Matthew J. Alley, 31, was charged with tampering with evidence.

This case remains under investigation and will be presented to a Crawford County grand jury for consideration of additional charges.
