METRICH makes arrest, seizes heroin/fentanyl

The METRICH Enforcement Unit made an arrest and seized 30 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl during a raid Tuesday.

Vanness D. Oliver, 36 , was arrested on charges of trafficking in drugs, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and receiving stolen property after authorities searched the residence at 19 Boughton Ave.

In addition to the suspected heroin/fentanyl, police confiscated 19 grams of suspected crack cocaine, Suboxone strips, prescription medication, a handgun, $3,400 in cash and an assortment of suspected stolen merchandise.

Assisting METRICH were Mansfield police and the Allied Special Operations Response Team.

METRICH Commander Lt. Joe Petrycki said METRICH will continue to target those individuals that sell drugs, especially fentanyl, in Richland County.
