METRICH raid of residence nets drugs

METRICH detectives Tuesday night responded to a residence after complaints of suspected drug trafficking and found drug paraphernalia inside the residence. One of the suspects said crack is smoked every day at that location. An individual was issued a criminal summons on drug paraphernalia and released.

While police were inside the residence an individual entered and was told to remove his hands from his coat pockets, but he refused, so police took him to the ground and handcuffed him. He was in possession of cash believed to be gained through illegal activity. Police saw a package in his right hand.

Evidence was submitted to the lab.

The second individual was taken to jail for resisting arrest and possession of cocaine.
