Mom Arrested After 10-Month-Old Boy Found In Home With Meth Lab

A woman was arrested Tuesday after law enforcement officers allegedly found a methamphetamine lab inside her home, where her 10-month-old son was living.

The Perry County Sheriff's Office responded to a tip about a meth lab at a home at 305 W. Sheridan Dr. Lot 14 in Somerset.

Detectives, along with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force, and Perry County Children Services, found an active meth lab inside the home, hidden behind a furnace.

Detectives said they also found in an adjacent bedroom, the 10-month-old boy in his crib.

The meth lab was seized from the home, and the tenant was arrested for a felony charge of child endangering. The suspect's identity was not yet released.

The sheriff's office said additional suspects were identified, and the investigation into their involvement is ongoing.

The boy was turned over to the custody of children services.

No other details were released, but NBC4 will update as we learn new information.
