Sheriff's Office Seizes Half Kilo Of Coke, $36K Cash In Drug Bust

The Franklin County Drug Task Force and Franklin County SWAT arrested three men in a major drug trafficking bust on Tuesday.

Authorities executed two search warrants at homes on Omar Drive and Burley Drive in south Columbus during an investigation into drug trafficking.

During the raids, more than $36,000 in cash, over a half kilogram of cocaine, one pound of marijuana and five guns were seized.  Some of the weapons were outfitted with high-capacity magazines.

33-year-old Cornelius Yarbrough was charged with felony trafficking in cocaine.  34-year-old Bryant Davis and Cedric Douglas, 27, were charged with possession of cocaine.

“We will not tolerate drug dealing in our neighborhoods. The Drug Task Force is committed to aggressively enforcing drug trafficking laws against dealers who are plaguing our streets with drugs," Sheriff Zach Scott said.

The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation continues and future charges for weapons violations, drug trafficking, and possession are expected to be sought for indictment.
