Suspected heroin seized at Ashland residence

A search warrant served at 915 W. Broad Street on Friday morning by Ashland Police Department in cooperation with the METRICH Enforcement Unit netted suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments and evidence of drug trafficking, according to a news release from the Ashland Police Department.

Four people were arrested, according to the Ashland Police Department: Mandy S. Pearce, 36, possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments; Johnathon A. Haynes, 29, possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments, and Allysen M. Workman, 21, obstructing official business. A 16-year-old male Mansfield resident also was arrested for obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Ashland police and the Ashland County Sheriff's Office were assisted by the Ashland County Child Protective Services.
