Three arrested after search

Three individuals were arrested Wednesday after officials executed a search warrant at a Defiance residence. According to Chief Deputy Doug Engel with the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office, the MultiArea Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 6161⁄2 Summit St. There, agents located various syringes and other drug paraphernalia along with a small amount of suspected heroin.

As a result of the search, Dustin Boroff, 26, 6161⁄2 Summit St., was charged with possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Ashley Dalton, 28, no permanent address, was charged with a probation violation and possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Brenton Clements, 26, 844 N. Clinton St., was served a summons on a charge of theft by the Defiance Police Department in an unrelated matter that occurred on Nov. 14. Boroff and Dalton were taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker. They were scheduled to appear in Defiance Municipal Court today. Assisting the MAN Unit were the Defiance Municipal Court Probation Department, the Defiance Police Department and Defiance County Sheriff’s Office.
