Two arrested in New Lexington drug raid

Two people were arrested Wednesday after a heroin raid in New Lexington.

The search at 404 South Main St. was executed by Perry County Sheriff’s Office detectives and Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force agents.

Officials seized heroin, drug paraphernalia, currency and two firearms, according to a sheriff’s office release.

The investigation was based on the suspected illegal distribution of heroin. The suspects’ names will not be released until charges are filed.
