Two charged with drug possession

Two men originally from Detroit were arrested and have been charged with felony drug possession after being found with suspected fentanyl in their Wooster apartment.

The Medway Drug Enforcement Agency, Wooster Police Criminal Interdiction Unit and the Wayne County Sheriff's SRT team executed a search warrant at 940 Northgate Drive, Apt. B4 Thursday evening following a drug investigation.

At the residence, law enforcement found powder fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and a large amount of currency.

Antonio Jones, 45, and DeAngelo Ruffin, 21, were both being held in Wayne County Jail, as of Monday, on bonds of $50,000 cash or surety.

Ruffin has a court date scheduled for today (Aug. 30) in front of Judge Carol White Millhoan; Jones will go in front of Judge Timothy VanSickle on Wednesday.

Jones was also transported by Wooster Fire Department to Wooster Community Hospital after he was suspected of ingesting drugs as entry was made into the apartment.

Medway Director Don Hall said Jones was suspected of ingesting heroin or fentanyl, which if it burst while inside him could have been fatal.
