Two men arrested in Ashland on drug charges

Two men were arrested in Ashland on drug charges after a search warrant was executed Monday morning.

Officers from the Ashland Police Department, METRICH and the Ashland Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 414 E. Liberty St. in Ashland just before 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to an Ashland police press release.

Officers seized drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia, suspected crystal meth, prescription medication and items related to drug trafficking, according to the press release.

Brandon Olmstead, 28, of Ashland and Timothy Casler, 31, with a last known address in Perrysville were both arrested.

Olmstead's 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was also seized as part of the investigation.

The investigation and search warrant stemmed from community tips about criminal activity at that address, according to the press release.
