Woman arrested in drug bust

After numerous complaints from community members about drug trafficking from her residence, a Mansfield woman was arrested on two warrants and faces additional charges after official say drugs and paraphernalia were found in her residence.

The METRICH Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Mansfield Police Department and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, served a drug-related search warrant Monday at 225 Richland Ave., according to a news release. The warrant was signed by Judge Frank Ardis.

The target of the investigation, Tylena Puckett, was wanted on two active warrants, and METRICH had received numerous tips about drug trafficking from her residence.

Detectives searched the residence and located synthetic drugs, drug paraphernalia consistent with heroin use and miscellaneous medication, according to the release.

Puckett was arrested, and further charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
