1 Arrested After Deputies Find Meth Lab In Thornville Home

Perry County Sheriff's deputies and Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force deputies seized a methamphetamine lab in Thornville Saturday.

The investigation began when detectives followed a number of suspects to Kroger in Hebron where they reported witnessing them purchasing supplies used to produce meth.

The detectives then followed the suspect vehicle as it traveled back into Perry County, at which time deputies attempted to make a traffic stop of the suspect's vehicle. Inside the  vehicle, deputies reported finding the items used to make the drug inside.

Deputies then responded to a home located in the 14000 block of Empire Road after learning of a possible meth lab. Deputies reported finding the lab and more items associated with the manufacturing of meth.

A 35-year-old man from Baltimore, Ohio was arrested and transported to the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville. He is expected to be formally charged.

Deputies identified two other suspects in the case. Their cases will be presented to a Perry County Grand Jury, according to the sheriff's office.

According to officials, this is the second lab seized from this residence in two weeks.  The previous lab was found on December 19, 2013.
