11 charged after Ottawa Co. Drug Task Force roundup

Seven men and four women face drug-related charges after a roundup by the Ottawa County Drug Task Force last weekend.

According to Ottawa County Prosecutor Mark Mulligan, the roundup of those accused of drug-related offenses culminated in 11 people being arrested since Friday.

Mulligan said the charges resulted from a three-month operation by the Drug Task Force, during which a variety of  street and prescription drugs allegedly were sold to confidential informants.

The cases recently were presented to an Ottawa County grand jury, which returned the following indictments:

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Port Clinton, Fremont and Sandusky police  and the Seneca County Drug Task Force all assisted the Ottawa County Drug Task Force in making the arrests.

All of the suspect were expected to appear in Ottawa County Common Pleas Court on Monday, other than Carrisales and Hicks. Carrisales was arraigned Friday. Hicks faces pending charges in Erie County.

An indictment is a formal charge filed in common pleas court and is not a determination of guilt or innocence.
