93 marijuana plants, cocaine seized

A joint effort by law enforcement resulted in two arrests Thursday and a seizure of drugs and guns.

Sheriff Scott Kent and officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus and Galion police departments and the METRICH Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at 2750 Kahn Road.

Officers reported finding 93 marijuana plants in an indoor growing operation, along with about eight pounds of processed marijuana and a small amount of cocaine. Officers also reported seizing five handguns and three rifles from inside the residence, along with a large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.

Two people — a 44-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman — were arrested and taken to the Crawford County Jail pending court appearances on felony drug charges.

Several juveniles inside the residence were released to family members. The sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate, according to a news release.
