2 ARRESTED IN DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION IN LOGAN COUNTY
The Logan County Unified Task Force has been conducting an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the Chippewa Park area. As part of the search, Tony Troiano and Kelley Kirtos, both of Columbus, were arrested. Troiano was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drug trafficking and Kirtos was arrested for possession of methamphetamines, the sheriff’s office said.

24 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN MANSFIELD IN RICHLAND COUNTY JULY DRUG SWEEP
A week-long drug enforcement initiative conducted throughout Richland County, beginning July 5, yielded 24 arrests. The initiative took place with METRICH Enforcement Unit, in partnership with Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and local law enforcement agencies.

TRENTON MAN ARRESTED AFTER B.U.R.N. SEIZES 3 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA, THC, AND $19,956
According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force, also called B.U.R.N., was executing a search warrant in the 900 block of West Jameson Court in Trenton around 9:58 a.m. on July 27.

CINCINNATI FENTANYL BUST NETS 150 GRAMS, GUN AND ALLEGED CARTEL LINK
Green was taken into custody after an investigation by the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force (B.U.R.N.), WKRC reports. Detectives say they recovered about 150 grams of fentanyl, a loaded firearm, a hydraulic kilogram press, digital scales, blenders, packaging materials, and other equipment commonly seen in large-scale drug trafficking operations.

Investigators with the Muskingum County Joint Drug Unit and the CODE Task Force said Baylor distributed fentanyl to local drug dealers in Muskingum County.

MEDINA MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON FOR MANUFACTURING AND SELLING DRUGS OUT OF HIS HOME
A 29-year-old Medina County man who was possessing controlled substances and manufacturing illegal drugs out of his home, which he intended to distribute throughout Summit and Medina Counties, has been sentenced to prison.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office says the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force received information that 37-year-old Gregory Napier was in Allen County with the intention to distribute methamphetamine. Investigators located him in Jackson Township and began an investigation.

In a social media post Saturday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said a four-month investigation concluded Thursday with multiple agencies from both states involved. The investigation focused on alleged distribution of heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine in various municipalities.

The West Central Ohio Crime Task Force received information that Gregory Napier, 37, from Dayton, was in Allen County and allegedly had two pounds of methamphetamine with him, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

TWO OTTAWA RESIDENTS CHARGED AFTER TRIDENT DRUG BUST
TRIDENT arrested 29-year-old Damien M. Johnson and 23-year-old Kayla M. McCarthy. Both are charged with unlawful possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and cocaine and were taken to the LaSalle County Jail in Ottawa.

FINDLAY MAN JAILED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP, DRUG SEARCH AT SHINKLE STREET HOME
The Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force says that they initially received reports back in October of large amounts of traffic coming and going from a house on Shinkle Street in Findlay. Findlay Police pulled over the resident of that house, 20-year-old Chance Musgrave, on October 19. They say that they found suspected cocaine, a scale, and a handgun. Musgrave was arrested and jailed on drug charges.

A Portsmouth man was arrested on multiple drug charges following a joint investigation by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force.

FIVE ARRESTED IN HANCOCK COUNTY METRICH DRUG TASK FORCE DRUG OPERATION
The Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force says their agency, along with several others - including the FBI - put on three controlled reverse drug deliveries. These operations were put together after an FBI investigation yielded several kilograms of cocaine in the Findlay area. The FBI also discovered a number of buyers of the seized cocaine and set up fake transactions with them, apprehending the five men in a controlled location.

BUTLER COUNTY DRUG AGENTS MAKE TWO CRYSTAL METH BUSTS IN TWO DAYS
The Butler County Sheriff's Office said two illegal immigrants were arrested and more than a pound of methamphetamine was seized on February 14. the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Taskforce also seized one thousand dollars in cash.

Officials seized a gallon-sized plastic bag covered in suspected cocaine residue next to a toilet, alongside other alleged drugs inside the toilet, from a Logan County home. According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the Logan County Unified Drug Task Force had executed a search warrant for a home on County Road 130 in Bellefontaine.

Two men are in custody following their arrest on drugs trafficking and possession charges. The arrests occurred during a search warrant executed at 423 N 7th St., Steubenville, where authorities discovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

CLERMONT COUNTY MAN INDICTED AFTER SEARCH UNCOVERS MORE THAN $100,000 OF DRUGS
A Clermont County man was indicted after an investigation uncovered more than $100,000 worth of drugs, according to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office. David Goodine, 19, of Williamsburg Township, was indicted by a grand jury on several counts of possession and trafficking of marijuana, THC wax, psychedelic mushrooms and LSD, court records show. The Clermont County Narcotics Task Force launched an investigation into Goodine after deputies received a tip that he was selling drugs out of his home on the 5400 block of State Route 133.

CLERMONT COUNTY OPERATION 'CLEAN SWEEP' NETS 27 ARRESTS IN MAJOR CRACKDOWN
The operation targeted individuals involved in narcotics investigations and other criminal activities across the county. It was a collaborative effort involving the Clermont County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force, which includes the Union Township Police Department and the Pierce Township Police Department, as well as Clermont County SWAT, the Investigations Division, Road Patrol, Court Services, Warrants Division, Corrections, and the Drone Unit.

FINDLAY VAPE SHOP SEARCHED BY TASK FORCE AFTER ILLEGAL MARIJUANA SALE COMPLAINTS
A vape shop in Findlay was raided after multiple complaints of the store illegally selling marijuana. The Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force says that their agency, along with the Findlay Police Department, conducted the search at Major Vapor on Tuesday. The task force had been investigating the Findlay business over the past year. Force members conducted controlled purchases of marijuana from the shop, one including a minor. The search on Tuesday yielded several items, including suspected marijuana, marijuana vapes and a handgun.

TWO ARRESTED AND DRUGS CONFISCATED AT RESIDENCE ON TR 140 HARDIN COUNTY
Two people were arrested and multiple drugs and other items were confiscated after a search warrant was served this morning in Hardin County. According to a release, the Hardin County Crime Task Force of the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Logan County Unified Task Force, Hardin County SRT, Kenton Police Department, and the Hardin County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant in the 16000 block of Township Road 140.

SCIOTO COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED ON PIKE COUNTY INDICTMENTS
On September 18, the Southern Ohio Organized and Major Crimes Task Force, in coordination with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Waverly Police Department, and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, executed multiple search warrants as part of an investigation into the distribution of drugs obtained illegally on the black market and sold to customers as purported weight-loss medications.

27 PEOPLE ARRESTED IN CLERMONT COUNTY OPERATION
The operation dubbed "Clean Sweep" was a county-wide initiative focused on apprehending people with active felony and misdemeanor warrants. The sheriff's office said many of the warrants were tired to narcotics investigations and other criminal activities.

2 OUNCES OF FENTANYL SEIZED DURING AREA UNDERCOVER DRUG INVESTIGATION
35-year-old man was recently arrested as part of an undercover drug investigation in Butler County, according to a spokesperson with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. Alex Montgomery, of Cincinnati, was arrested by the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force (B.U.R.N.) and the Hamilton Police Department.

SIX DEFENDANTS CHARGED IN ALLEGED INTERSTATE DRUG SMUGGLING RING
Meth and cocaine sourced from California were smuggled to Ohio. The investigation was conducted by the DEA Detroit Division’s Cleveland Field Office, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service’s Cleveland Office, with assistance from the Cleveland MetroParks Police, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, the Wayne County MEDWAY Drug Enforcement Agency, the Cleveland Heights Police Department, the Columbus Division of Police, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

SEARCH WARRANT LEADS TO ARREST
The warrant resulted in the confiscation of large quantities of suspected methamphetamine, suspected cocaine, suspected ecstasy, criminal tools, two firearms and U.S. currency. The search was carried out by the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit, with assistance from Fostoria Police Department, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Hancock County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit, Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, Ohio Adult Parole Authority and National Guard Counterdrug program.

FBI CINCINNATI AND THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE RANGE TASK FORCE SEIZED 38 KILOGRAMS OF FENTANYL, OTHER DRUGS, GUNS, AND CASH FROM A MAJOR DRUG TRAFFICKING ORGANIZATION
The figure from the CDC counts overdose deaths from all types of drugs, however the DEA estimates that approximately 70% of all drug overdose deaths are a result of opioids. In particular, fentanyl is considered to be the single most deadly type of opioid that is commonly found in illegal drug busts by federal law enforcement.

CANTON MAN ARRESTED IN DRUG RAID; MORE THAN 2 POUNDS OF COCAINE SEIZED
The Stark County Sheriff’s Office Metro Narcotics Unit, in coordination with the Medway Drug Enforcement Agency and the Canton Police Department, executed a search warrant at a home in the 2800 block of Dorothy Avenue NE as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

FENTANYL PILLS, STOLEN GUN SEIZED IN FINDLAY DRUG RAID
The Hancock County METRICH Unit and the Findlay Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 332 ½ Rector Avenue in Findlay at 5 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities seized 265 suspected pressed fentanyl pills, two guns — one of which was reported stolen — and items that indicate drug trafficking.

The Warren County Drug Task Force raids were at eight VIP Smoke Shops in the county, including stores in Carlisle, Springboro, Lebanon, Deerfield Twp. and Mason, the sheriff’s office posted on X, formerly Twitter, in March. Also, the task force had a search warrant for the company’s warehouse in Norwood in Hamilton County.

LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR FELONY GUN AND DRUG CRIMES
On Sept. 18, agents with the Southeast Ohio Major Crimes Task Force served a search warrant and arrest one individual. Agents entered the home of Jeffery Jeffers, detaining him and another individual. Agents found 39 firearms in total, approximately one gram of methamphetamine, two digital scales, several baggies, and $1,252. Agents confirmed that two of the firearms were stolen, one from Washington County and the other from Noble County.

FAIRFIELD COUNTY – HIGH STAKES CHASE WITH SHOTGUN ARMED MAN ENDS IN ARREST
Sheriff Alex Lape of the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office reported a successful conclusion to a high-stakes pursuit and arrest on June 13th, 2024. The incident began when undercover units conducted surveillance on a residence at 1366 Sheridan Dr., where a known suspect, identified as Granville Gibson of Laurelville, OH, was observed exiting the property while carrying a shotgun. Detectives had prior knowledge that Gibson was unlawfully in possession of the firearm.

SUMMIT COUNTY SWAT MAKES DRUG BUST IN AKRON
Summit County SWAT made a big drug bust after an investigation into trafficking by the Summit County Drug Unit Tuesday. Summit County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team made entry and secured the residence located in the West Akron neighborhood during a search of the home they found and seized: 838 grams of methamphetamine 92 grams of cocaine 22 grams of fentanyl 6 grams of crack cocaine $1,786.00 in US currency, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

GOVERNOR MIKE DEWINE HAS TAKEN DECISIVE ACTION TO COMBAT THE OPIOID CRISIS IN OHIO
Recently, Gov. DeWine banned the sale and use of nine synthetic opioids, known as nitazenes, which are stronger than fentanyl and have been linked to a rise in overdoses. These man-made opioids were never approved for medical use and are increasingly found in illegal drugs across the state. On Tuesday, Gov. DeWine signed an executive order authorizing the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to classify these nine synthetic opioids as Schedule I controlled substances, effectively banning their sale and use.

OHIO COUPLE FACES SERIOUS DRUG CHARGES FOLLOWING AN EARLY MORNING RAID
On Tuesday, June 4, investigators from the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office and the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force executed a search warrant at an East Cambridge residence. The operation led to the discovery of bulk amounts of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as drug paraphernalia and other evidence indicating significant drug trafficking activity.

Ravenna, Ohio – Portage County sheriff’s deputies have accused the owner of a newly opened vape shop, Puff City Smoke Shop, of trafficking illegal narcotics. The shop, located in downtown Ravenna, opened just a month ago, and its owner, who hails from New York, faces charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second-degree felony.
