Hamilton County Heroin Coalition Task Force

The Hamilton County Heroin Task Force was established in early 2015 by the Hamilton County Association of Chiefs of Police for the purpose of investigating all source dealers of heroin/opiates that lead to overdoses and overdose deaths, and ultimately prosecute the source dealer on applicable State of Ohio and Federal charges. A further purpose is to encourage and promote cooperation and coordination between the agencies of Hamilton County engaged in the investigation of heroin/opiate offenses. The Hamilton County Heroin Task Force has agents assigned from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Cincinnati Police Division, Ohio BCI & I, Amberley Village Police Department and Drug Enforcement Administration Cincinnati DO. Our Task Force receives analytical support from the Greater Cincinnati Fusion Center and Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center. Our Task Force has formal partnerships with the Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission, Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, The Drug Enforcement Administration Cincinnati DO, U.S. Attorneys Office in the Southern District of Ohio, Ohio Attorney General’s Office and all 44 police agencies in Hamilton County.

Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit (RENU)

Multijurisdictional drug task force task force in Hamilton County Ohio consisting of Agents from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the Green Township Police Department, and the Cheviot Police Department. The task force, along with its Federal partners with The Department of Homeland Security (HSI), the United States Postal Inspector, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations focus on large scale drug trafficking organizations who are operating within Hamilton County or importing narcotics into Hamilton County.

DRUG ABUSE REDUCTION TASK FORCE (aka DART)

The Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force provides strategic drug enforcement services for twenty-two jurisdictions within Hamilton County in the Greater Cincinnati area. DART works closely with other task forces in adjoining counties as well as a number of local, state, and federal agencies. Our service area contains 575 square miles and has a combined population of over 338,000. DART’s area of responsibility also includes major interstate highways including Interstate 75, Interstate 71, Interstate 275, and Interstate 74 along with a number of state routes.

DART works closely with it’s collaborative agencies providing and exchanging information on criminal offenders with the goal of reducing drug-related and associated violent crimes. DART also provides educational opportunities for first responders, local jurisdictional officials, and the general public.
