Authorities: Large amount of illegal drugs seized from Painesville residence
Law enforcement officers from the Lake County Narcotics Agency, Painesville Police Department and Lake County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 861 N. State St., in the Painesville on Jan. 8, following numerous complaints of drug activity at the residence, according to a news release from the Lake County Narcotics Agency.
Officers located and seized a large quantity of illegal drugs including heroin, cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription pills with an estimated street value of over $18,000, according to the release.
Officers also seized a vehicle, $2,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun, the release stated.
No arrests were made at the time of the search warrant but investigators anticipate numerous felony charges against the residents as a result of this ongoing criminal investigation involving the Lake County Narcotics Agency, Painesville Police Department, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lake County Crime Lab, the release stated.
