Charges pending after drug bust

Suspected drugs, criminal tools and evidence of drug trafficking were found during execution of a search warrant early Thursday morning on South Wood Street.

According to a release from the Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit, law enforcement executed the search warrant at 850 S. Wood St., the residence of April Walker, 38, and Glenn Garner, 39.

Items found inside the residence included suspected marijuana and cocaine, prescription medication, drug paraphernalia, criminal tools, money and evidence of drug trafficking, the release states.

Walker and Garner were not arrested Thursday, METRICH Unit Coordinator Chuck Boyer said, but charges of trafficking prescription pills, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of criminal tools and permitting drug abuse are pending for the pair.

"I'm pleased with the results of this investigation and with the amount of pending charges that are involved in this operation. It should make an impact in that specific neighborhood," said Capt. Pat Brooks of Fostoria Police Department in the release.

According to the release, the Fostoria Police Department's SWAT team was utilized to make entry into the residence and execute the search warrant. The Fostoria Police Department's canine unit also assisted in execution of the warrant.
