City man charged after police raid

A Findlay man is facing a felony drug charge after police raided his apartment late Wednesday.

The Hancock County METRICH Drug Task Force said Michael E. Harpe, 43, of 801 Hurd Ave., Apt. G, was arrested for possession of heroin, a third-degree felony, and is being held at the Hancock County jail.

The task force said it obtained a search warrant through Findlay Municipal Court and raided Harpe’s residence at 11 p.m. Wednesday, with assistance from the Findlay Police Department Emergency Response Team.

“A large amount of cash, heroin, and drug paraphernalia” was seized, the task force said. Additional charges against Harpe are pending, the task force said.
