Drug bust nets 2 arrests, narcotics

Two people were arrested Tuesday after police searched a Gamble Street residence.

Tabatha Lockhart,33, was charged with two counts of trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, possession of crack and possession of drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia, the first three of which are felonies.

Marcus Moll, 29, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments and paraphernalia.

Police searched Lockhart's residence, 63 S. Gamble St., Apt. D, in Shelby, after receiving numerous complaints about drug activity there, according to a METRICH Enforcement Unit news release.

Detectives found seven grams of heroin, 1.5 grams of crack, syringes, crack pipes, digital scales, burnt metal spoons and $1,196 cash in the apartment.

The two remain at the Richland County Jail.
