Drug charges pending for 2 Fostoria residents

Two Fostoria residents are facing drug charges after law enforcement agencies conducted a search warrant at Nye’s Trailer Park Thursday.

With the assistance of officers from the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit, Fostoria Police Department conducted a drug-related search warrant at 1521 N. Countyline St. Lot #79 at 3:34 p.m. after receiving several complaints of suspicious activity in the area.

The warrant, signed by Judge Mark Repp of the Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court, uncovered suspected crack cocaine, suspected marijuana, criminal tools, evidence of drug trafficking and U.S. currency.

Justin K. Yarbrough, 35, and Tiffani L. Diaz, 28, both living at the trailer, are facing charges of trafficking crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of criminal tools and permitting drug abuse upon the conclusion of the entire drug investigation and return of lab analysis of the discovered substances.

Yarbrough was arrested for a parole violation. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Seneca County Jail where he is awaiting further charges.

“We’re going to continue our efforts to rid the drug dealers from our community,” Fostoria Police Chief Keith Loreno said. “We’re going to work with management to improve the quality of life in that trailer park and work with others to improve the quality of life in our town.”
