Drug dealer pleads guilty

A noted drug dealer faces multiple years in prison following a guilty plea tendered Wednesday in Logan County Common Pleas Court.

Cynyen Howard, 28, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to charges of third- and fourth-degree felony possession of drugs and two counts of trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree felonies.

Prosecutors and defense are recommending three years in prison when the defendant is sentenced March 10, following a presentence investigation.

He was indicted twice last year, once in May and again in December for charges relating to possession and trafficking of drugs and also for a felony charge of intimidation of attorney or witness and illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility and also for misdemeanor counts of assault, aggravated menacing, domestic violence and telephone harassment.
