Drug-related search warrant executed

METRICH Enforcement Unit, with assistance from Tiffin Police Department and Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, executed a drug-related search warrant at Tiffin Motel Tuesday, according to a release.

The warrant at the motel at 315 W. Market St. was executed about 8 p.m., according to a Tiffin Police Department report.

Officers found crack cocaine, suspected heroin, money and criminal tools, the release states.

Da’Marquse De’Jon Jackson, 21, of Detroit, was charged with trafficking heroin, a fourth-degree felony, and trafficking crack cocaine, a fifth-degree felony; and John Churella, 44, of Tiffin, was charged with permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony, the release states.

They were incarcerated at Seneca County Jail, and additional charges were pending Wednesday.

The search warrant was signed by Judge Mark Repp of Tiffin-Fostoria Muncipal Court and was executed at Room 27, which belongs to Churella, Jackson and Kristen L. Rowland, 43, of Tiffin, according to the release.
