Drugs found in search of Fostoria home

A drug-related search warrant was executed Thursday at 655 Woodward Ave.

According to a release, the Seneca County Drug Task Force — METRICH Enforcement Unit and officers from Fostoria Police Department executed the warrant. The residence is the home of Marques A. Smith, 24; Laura Lopez, 47; and Clarence D. Smith Jr., 47.

The search warrant was signed by Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael P. Kelbley.

Suspected cocaine, money, criminal tools, drug paraphernalia and evidence indicative of drug trafficking were found, the release states.

It states Fostoria Police Department’s SWAT team and canine unit were used to execute the search warrant safely.

Charges of trafficking crack cocaine, permitting drug abuse and possession of criminal tools are pending upon conclusion of the drug investigation, the release states.
