Drugs seized from area home

A drug-related search warrant at a Fostoria residence early Friday morning unveiled suspected heroin, suspected crack cocaine, criminal tools, drug paraphernalia and money, according to a release from the Seneca County Drug Task Force - METRICH Enforcement Unit.

Law enforcement officers from METRICH and the Fostoria Police Department executed the search warrant at 610 Columbus Ave., the residence of Lamar Cartlidge, 33, and Sarah Crane, 25, the release stated.

The search warrant was signed by Judge Mark Repp of the Fostoria Municipal Court.

According to the release, charges of possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin, possession of crack cocaine, trafficking in crack cocaine and possession of criminal tools are pending upon completion of the investigation and upon further analysis of the suspected drugs confiscated from the residence.

"Heroin abuse continues to be a growing issue in our community and surrounding area. Today is just a small example of how we are continuing to battle this devastating drug," said Capt. Pat Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department.
