DTF launches raid on Wellsville home

One woman was charged and more than $2,000 in were confiscated when a Wellsville home was raided on Thursday.

Detective Lt. Brian McLaughlin, director of the county Drug Task Force, said agents have been looking at the home at 408 Eighth St. and those living or staying there for the last couple months.

With a search warrant in hand, the DTF, assisted by the county Special Response Team and sheriff's deputies went to the two-story home owned by Roy Molter.

According to McLaughlin, investigators found $1,400, four grams of heroin, 11 grams of crack cocaine and assorted prescription medications. He values the drugs seized and taken off the streets at more than $2,000.

Stephanie Molter, 35, who lives in the home, was charged with tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony charge. She is scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

McLaughlin said DTF also found a Youngstown area man, Henry Williams, and Molter's boyfriend, James Ray, at the home when they arrived. Neither has been charged at this time, although McLaughlin said additional charges are possible as the investigation continues.

Roy Molter does not live in the home. According to the county auditor's website, Roy Molter lives in East Liverpool.
