DTF searches village home

The Columbiana County Drug Task Force has charged a man Friday after finding drugs and weapons.

Steven L. Coil, 66, was cited at his home on Hibbetts-Mill Road, and was charged with weapons under disability, a third-degree felony.

The drug task force, assisted by the county Special Response Team and the Sheriff's office, served the search warrant after the conclusion of a four-month long investigation.

Authorities found cocaine, five firearms, digital scales with drug residue, packaging material, and over $200 cash inside the home.

Det. Lt. Brian McLaughlin, director of the drug task force, said more charges are pending against multiple people as the investigation continues.
