Eastlake man charged with making meth

he Lake County Narcotics Agency has arrested an Eastlake man accused of manufacturing meth in the vicinity of a juvenile.
Eastlake police and the narcotics agency investigated an explosion and fire last week at the home of 22-year-old Brandon M. Boyce, 914 E. 347th St.
According to a news release from the narcotics agency’s director David Frisone, officers seized drug paraphernalia, digital scales and precursor chemicals used in manufacturing the drug.
“Officers also observed minor damage inside the garage; however, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident,” according to the release.
Boyce is charged with a first-degree felony related to the alleged crime, according to Willoughby Municipal Court records.
Judge Harry Field set a cash or surety bond at $100,000, which was not posted.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 27. If convicted, Boyce could spend up to a year in prison.
