Felony drug arrest in the city

A city man was arrested on multiple felony drug charges near his residence Friday afternoon around five o'clock.

The Logan County Joint Drug Task Force reports that Raymond Joseph, 35, of 708 Heritage Drive, was walking northbound on Ludlow Road. He then headed west on Colton Avenue.

Officers then took Joseph into custody.

Joseph allegedly spit drugs into the snow and stomped on his cell phone.

Authorities recovered a baggie with sixteen doses of heroin and another baggie with eight doses of heroin. They also seized $635 in cash and Joseph's cell phone.

He was charged with trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, and tampering with evidence.

Joseph was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

It's his second felony drug-related arrest this year. On May 30th, the Joint Drug Task Force arrested Joseph at 317 North Elm Street. He was charged with possession of heroin. Officers obtained a search warrant and seized black tar heroin and cash.

During both arrests, the Joint Drug Task Force was investigating possible drug trafficking in the city.
