Galion police seize drugs, arrest man

Heroin, a loaded syringe and other drug paraphernalia were confiscated when police searched a Southern Avenue home Wednesday and arrested the man who lived there, according to a press release from the Galion Police Department. Charges are pending against Daniel Donohue, 37, who was taken to the Crawford County Jail.

The Galion Police Department, with the assistance of the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the METRICH Drug Task Force, searched 205 Southern Ave. as part of an ongoing drug investigation, according to the press release. Investigating officers seized 23 bindles of heroin, a syringe loaded with suspected heroin and several other drug paraphernalia instruments during the search.

“Outstanding work by our county’s detectives," Police Chief Brian Saterfield said in the press release. "This was an investigation that took several months and again achieved the outcome of removing drugs from the streets of Galion.”
