Heroin Arrest

September 24, 2014- With assistance from Troopers from the Medina Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, task force agents arrested 35 year-old Richard Clark of Cleveland for Trafficking in Heroin.  Clark was charged with selling heroin to an agent of the Medina County Drug Task Force in the city of Brunswick.    Shortly after the drug transaction, at the request of drug agents, Clark was stopped by State Troopers on I-71 north or SR303.  As officers approached the car they found two small children in the back seat.   The children, ages 5 and 7, were later released to their mother.

During a search of the car agents found a semi-automatic pistol that Clark claimed ownership of. A female driver with Clark was detained and later released.   Criminal charges will be sought against her when the case is reviewed by Prosecutor Dean Holman.

Richard Clark has an extensive criminal history to include over 20 drug related arrests since 1998. Clark was taken to the Medina County Sheriffs Office where he was released into the custody of the jail staff. Clark was charged with one count of Trafficking in Heroin- a 3rd degree felony. Additional charges will be sought when the case is presented to the Medina County Grand Jury.
