Huntsville officials get up-close look at drugs

Det. Brent Joseph of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office addressed the drug problem in Logan County with Huntsville Village Council members Tuesday and outlined what to look for if drug activity is suspected.

He said heroin and cocaine were the most common drugs of choice. With heroin, he said, a person appears lethargic, sleepy with a lack of energy; and with cocaine the person appears full of energy. He said to look for high traffic to a certain location, a lot of people in and out of the location or anything out of the ordinary and report suspected drug activity to the sheriff’s office.
