A Ross County man arrested in a pair of drug raids this month was found dead from an apparent suicide Tuesday in his cell at the Pickaway County Jail.

Police recovered all the makings of a suspected meth lab in the basement of a Prospect Street residence Tuesday night after the homeowner reported finding some suspicious items. Sgt. Brent Slider confirmed the items appeared confined to the basement, consisting of all the various materials needed to manufacture the drug methamphetamine, commonly known as meth.
SWAT teams raided several homes and a business in a two-county drug investigation Monday. Police and tactical teams raided eight locations after a six-month investigation.
