Ironton Couple Arrested on Drug Charges

Two people are behind bars after members of the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force raid a house in Ironton Tuesday.

According to the Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Lori Knipp, 48, and Billy Barnett, 38, who both live at the home in the 2600 block of South 5th Street were arrested.

Task Force officers say they found oxycodone, alprazolam, cash, and a gun inside the house.

Barnett and Knipp are each charged with illegal drug possession, drug trafficking, and tampering with evidence. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in Ironton Municipal Court.
