Jefferson Twp. man busted again on drug charges

A Jefferson Twp. man indicted in November on drug possession charges is back in the Montgomery County Jail following a drug bust by the county’s RANGE Task Force.

Jodie Lee Johnston, 43, was arrested Friday after a task force search of a South Lansdowne Avenue address yielded large amounts of crystal meth, heroin and cash, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in a prepared statement.

Johnston has been booked into jail on charges of heroin possession and aggravated drug possession. Bail is set at $500,000, according to the jail’s online website.

Gabrielle Lloyd, 27, of Jefferson Twp. was also arrested in the case. She remained in jail Friday night, pending the filing of a formal charge of drug possession, according to the jail website.

Last November, Johnston was arrested and indicted on similar charges involving a different woman. Then, the task force seized handguns, counterfeit cash, crystal meth, heroin and marijuana during a search of the same address.

Friday’s arrests end a long-term drug trafficking investigation, according to the sheriff’s office.
