Joint Drug Task Force recovers 50 units of heroin

The Logan County Joint Drug Task Force arrested a city man and recovered 50 units of black tar heroin after a brief pursuit on the north end of Bellefontaine Thursday afternoon around three o'clock.

Marcus Wilkerson (pictured), 29, of 1046 Heritage Court, was wanted on a warrant for trafficking in heroin.

Authorities attempted to serve the warrant at the Bellefontaine Inn, 1134 North Main Street.

A pursuit ensued when Wilkerson fled in a blue Chevy Camaro.

He went southbound on Main Street and turned left on Dowell Avenue.

Wilkerson complied when another officer initiated a traffic stop at 1125 Rush Avenue.

Wilkerson was taken into custody and charged with felony counts of trafficking in heroin, possession of heroin, and fleeing and eluding.

Police recovered 32 units of heroin in a plastic bag on Rush Avenue just west of Dowell Avenue.

Passenger Roy Bolling (pictured), 23, of 533 East Marion Street, Mt. Victory, was arrested on a warrant from Union County for drug possession.

Female passenger Brandi Henry, 21, of 533 East Marion Street, Mt. Victory, was questioned.

She used her body to conceal 18 units of black tar heroin.

Henry was not charged.

The Joint Drug Task Force continues their investigation.
