Liquor store owner arrested in bath salt investigation

A Clermont County liquor store owner has been arrested in a drug investigation.

Agents from the Clermont County Narcotics Unit and the Ohio Investigative Unit served a search warrant at Earl's Market in Union Township on Tuesday.

The Clermont County Sheriff's Office said the investigation was the result of numerous complaints involving the sale of bath salts and synthetic marijuana by the owners.

During the search, agents arrested Gurminder Singh Sandhu, 50, for drug trafficking, deputies said.

Agents also raided Sandhu's Liberty Township home and seized bath salts, synthetic marijuana and other items.

Additional felony charges for engaging in corrupt activities, drug possession, trafficking in drug paraphernalia and attempted receiving property, among others, are expected to be presented to the grand jury in the near future, deputies said.
