Man arrested for drug charges

METRICH Unit Coordinator Charles Boyer said a large amount of suspected cocaine was found on Huggins during the investigation.
The drugs are believed to have been part of a cocaine distribution ring that stemmed out of Toledo and into Fostoria and Seneca County, the release states.

Huggins, who faces additional charges of illegal conveyance of contraband into a correctional facility and resisting arresting pending the conclusion of the investigation, is currently being held at the Fostoria jail

According to the release, the Fostoria Police Department's canine unit was used to conduct the stop and execute the search warrant safely and effectively.

"The collaboration of agencies involved in this entire investigation was instrumental in the success of this operation," said Captain Pat Brooks of the Fostoria Police Department.

Citizens are encouraged to continue to report suspicious activity to their local law enforcement agencies or to the METRICH Unit Crime Hotline at (877) 446-Drug or (419) 443-0463.
